It is an ideal self-contained home for a couple, family or group of friends while they visit this wonderful historic town. The living room is spacious and bright, lovely and cosy during the winter months. There is a brand new (June 2016) large sofa which pulls out to be a sofabed, a 39” flatscreen TV, stereo, DVD player and a dining table with chairs for 6. The French doors open straight on to the garden, which has patio furniture and is perfect for an afternoon Pimms or al fresco dining on those lovely summer evenings. Both bedrooms are upstairs and have comfortable beds, fitted wardrobes and great view of the Rye countryside or the harbour. - Curlew House is a modern, stylish holiday cottage for four in Rye, perfect to explore the lovely coastal towns and country villages in East Sussex and Kent. You enter the cottage into a small hallway with stairs leading up to the bedrooms and a door leading to the open plan living area. A fully fitted kitchen, dining area and lounge space with a sofa and arm chair with plenty of cushions and throws to make this a cosy spot to relax. Just off the lounge is a small snug, perfect for those quiet moments or for settling down with a good book. French doors lead to an enclosed terrace with outside table, perfect for tea or a glass of wine. The first floor has a double bedroom to the rear with good quality linen, bed sides lamps and comfy cushions. There is a private balcony with table and chairs, a perfect spot for an alfresco breakfast, a delightful extra. The large family bathroom, has a separate shower cubicle, bath, hand basin and WC. The second floor has a further double bedroom which has been beautifully finished with comfort in mind. For those travelling with young children, there is a travel cot & folding high chair available on request. Although the cottage is family friendly we do ask that guests with young children take particular care when exiting the property, as there is only a narrow path in front of the cottage and the road is busy. The house interior is quiet though.Opposite is a park with a children play area and bowling green.
